Ecopeche at Rungis

The official launch of the 2008 French peach and nectarine campaign was held in the fruit and vegetable pavilions of Rungis in the morning of 17 June last, with the participation of the Ecopêche association (composed of the 19 largest producers and brokers of French peaches and nectarines) under its general public signature “pêche enVie, pêche d’ici.” Several representatives of producers were able to meet with wholesalers, retailers and buyers and answer questions from journalists of the trade press. Created in 2004, Ecopêche represents 140,000 tons of French peaches and nectarines (about 40% of national production).
