Paris celebrates the markets
The operation “Paris celebrates the markets” ran from 20 to 29 June 2008 in a festive atmosphere at all Parisian covered or open-air markets. For the occasion, clients were able to win reusable shopping bags, filled baskets, shopping trolleys, table mat sets, vouchers or meals in a gourmet restaurant. This idea was to incite and encourage retailers and professionals to use biodegradable and reusable bags. To that end, they were given 150,000 cotton bags in different colours by the Paris city council and Rungis Market, partner in the operation.
