Rungis partners the Equip'Hôtel trade show

For the 49th Salon Equip’Hoteltrade show held at Paris-Expo (Porte de Versailles) from 15 to 19 November 2008, Rungis Market was a partner in several events including Snacking des Chefs, Théâtre des Chefs and the restaurant VIP Equip’Hôtel.
In addition, the Equip’Hôtel trade show hosted the 4th Mondial des Chefs de Collectivités (world canteen chefs competition) organized by the CCC (Comité de Coordination de Collectivités) on 19 November 2008. This major international collective catering competition, bringing together chefs from eight countries, was won by Moroccan chef, Abdellah Achiai (Prima Foods company canteen) with his two recipes (tagine of Saint-Jacques in Argan oil, with coral preserved tomatoes, parfait of bitter oranges from Jardins de la Majorelle) made with two imposed products, the Saint-Jacques scallops and orange. Tan Lai Horng (Singapore) came second and Lyndsey Farrow (New Zealand) won third place.
Equip’Hôtel 2008 saw an increase in the number of visitors and a sharp rise internationally.
