The Plougastel strawberry comes to Rungis
On 21 March, the famous Gariguette strawberry from Plougastel made a “trumpeted” entry to Rungis to celebrate Easter and the start of spring. Ten producers and employees from Savéol, wearing their traditional purple costumes, set off to meet wholesalers and clients. Accompanied by four bellringers, they entertained the several Rungis Market halls (A2, B2, C2, D2, E2, A3, E3) from 6.30 to 10 am. This was the occasion for wholesalers and retailers to taste the Plougastel strawberry which also had a 4X3 display at Rungis Market under its Breton name “La Freizh”.
