Rungis Market at the Salon du Vegetal
The 24th Salon du Végétal trade show in Angers took place from 17 to 19 February 2009. Rungis Market was represented by the companies Earl Vion and Earl Juszczak (both from the APHUMR) and Pépinières Pescheux-Thiney. These three companies, along with three other Ile-de-France horticultural businesses were backed by the committee to promote Ile-de-France and grouped on the CERVIA stand (regional centre for agricultural and food development and innovation of Paris - Ile-de-France).
This event has become the European crossroads for the horticulture and plant sector; it attracted 16,730 trade visitors and 640 exhibitors (62% for plants and 38% for horticultural supplies) including 26% foreign exhibitors from 14 countries.
The new section on “Green areas design” proved an encouraging success and the “Cut flowers” section confirmed its renown.
The 2010 edition will be held on 16 to 18 February.
