"Les Entretiens de Rungis", the Rungis symposium
SEMMARIS started the Entretiens de Rungis conferences in 2006. A half-day symposium positioned towards the end of September, this event provides a good opportunity to meet people and exchange ideas on the major issues facing our product sectors and customers. The programme includes speeches, round tables and open floor sessions, with a survey conducted for the event to provide the thread as well as food for thought and reactions. About 150 trade professionals attend each edition.
2006: "Survey of current management practices in catering"
In partnership with the French Ministry of Eduction, under the presidency of Renaud Dutreil. Following a study by Conso CHD, the conference attempted to explain how hospitality and catering teachers and restaurant suppliers could help the restaurant owners better manage their food costs and procurement. These works were then used to publish an educational booklet with 50 sheets designed for the profession.
2007 : "Conference on the price of fruit & vegetables and fish"
Study of consumer perceptions, conducted by CREDOC, presided by Luc Chatel. Round tables on how prices are perceived and formed. Over 30 journalists attended that day, resulting in 70 press mentions. Luc Chatel delivered the closing address of the conference.
2008 : Food between financial pressures and consumer demand
The third edition of the Entretiens the Rungis symposium was held at Espace Rungis on 23 September 2008 under the presidency of Mr Herve Novelli, secretary of state for Trade, Craft Industry, Small and Medium Enterprises, Tourism and Services, from the french Ministry of the Economy, Industry and deployment. The them of this third conference was : food between financial pressures and consumer demand.
