Marketing and Communications Department
Set up in 2001, this department’s job is to keep such a marketplace attractive, develop the product-service offer and the market's image, both in France and abroad. Its promotional and communication actions target professionals from various sectors (from producer to buyer), as well as consumers. These actions are run in close cooperation with other Semmaris departments and trade representatives – particularly Stratégie Gourmet, the global tenants association– and the company directors directly concerned.
One of the department’s key roles is to manage the institutional “Rungis International Market” brand, the spin-off brands and the signature “The French route to quality”.
The tools to promote Rungis are specialized according to the communication targets, such as the monthly magazine, internal letter, websites and newsletter, annual report, institutional work, leaflets, brochures and figures, advertising campaigns, trade shows, events and direct marketing operations. For external communication, special attention is paid to the many media partnerships and other relations with schools, notably through the "Rungis Education" training programme.
Several international actions are also organized every year, principally around 4 subjects: import/export missions with Market companies, institutional partnerships, brand image abroad and recently the opening of a representation office in London for one year.
